India Diesel Shipments to Europe: America is making every effort to stop Ukraine War’s attempt. For this, President Trump is putting up trick, but he is not able to succeed in his efforts. The way Trump put 25 percent of additional tariffs on India, it was also indirectly an attempt to put a pressure on Russia President Vladimir Putin. Even though India may have imposed a huge tariff of 50 percent on the US, the government has made a hefty amount by selling cheap oil from Russia in the international market.
Thick earnings by selling oil
If we look at the annual basis, India’s diesel exports have jumped 137 percent to 2,42,000 barrels daily in August. However, after the European Union’s ban on the use of Russian crude oil, the doors of Reliance Industries, the largest Russia oil and fuel exporter from the country, can be closed for there from January of 2026.
Global Real Time Data and Analytics Provider KPler says that in August only in August, Europe was exported to Europe 73 percent more on the basis of diesel month. Whereas on the annual basis, it is a tremendous increase of 124 percent.
Whereas another energy tracker Vortexa estimates that India had a export of diesel within Europe 228,316 barrels daily in the month of August. This is an increase of 166 percent on an annual basis, while 36 percent more than July.
What do market experts say?
Actually, there are not one but many factor to increase India’s oil exports in Europe. According to market experts, the shocking decision of advanced maintenance from the refiners, winter demand and restrictions of the European Union, which could make it difficult for Indian suppliers to sell oil there. However, experts believe that the demand for diesel is going to be very strong in 2025 throughout the year.
On the other hand, India is also facing strong criticisms about this. Senior US officials alleged that India is earning a lot of profit by purchasing cheap oil from Russia and selling it to western countries again after processing. Through this, India is helping Moscow by funding in the war against Ukraine.
However, India completely dismissed these allegations and said that if Western countries have objections, they are completely independent to stop the purchase of oil.
