TCS Layoff: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), the country’s largest IT company, is now getting out of jobs, whose technical information is no longer effective for the company. These will be the employees who have not been able to increase their skill sets with changing times. The company of Tat Group will give these personnel from 6 months to 2 years as a vibrations, which will give them some financial assistance in doing new work and they will be able to find new work.
This decision of TCS is looking at today’s changing technology, according to the company, now the method of work through automation is changing rapidly. In such a situation, it is difficult to catch the new technology with the old skill set. According to media reports, the company is preparing to lay down a total of 12,000 employees by next year. TCS CEO K. Kritivasan has said that it is one of the most difficult decisions for the company so far, but this step is necessary to further improve the company in future.
Which employees will be trimmed?
Company employees who had been sitting on the bench for months. That is, there were no part of any project for months. Has decided to remove them. If an employee has not been working in any project for 8 months, then he will get just 3 months salary vibrations. Then comes such employees who have been serving in the company for 10-15 years, although at present their skills are not fit for the company. They are being given money equal to about one and a half year salary. Also, such employees who have been working in the company for more than 15 years and do not know about new techniques, have plans to give farewell to them by giving two years salary. The company can still have a new role for some old employees, but such opportunities are very low in the company.
Employees will leave with allowance
TCS says on this decision that they are not only taking old employees from their jobs, but the company is bid farewell to them with respect and care. Also, the company is also helping such people find jobs. For this, TCS is paying the job search agency fees for three months. So that they can get a job easily. The company will especially provide this facility to junior employees for a long time. Also, under the TCS Care Program, the company is running a program for employees struggling with mental stress. In which therapy and counseling are being done to the employees.
TCS is giving an opportunity for early retirement to employees near retirement. That is, employees will be able to retire before time. However, the company will give them full benefit of retirement. In which pension, insurance, other facilities, along with 6 months to 2 years of asset will be available. According to the information, the company has completed most of the retrenchment and adjustment between August and September. Now only such employees are in the company, who are looking for a new role under RMG i.e. Resource Management Group.
