Adani Defense Wins SIDM Award: Adani Defense & Aerospace has been honored with the Champion Award 2025 by the Society of Indian Defense Manufacturers (SIDM). This award was given to the company’s Kanpur Ammunition Complex for design, manufacturing and testing excellence.
Kanpur Ammunition Complex
Adani’s Kanpur complex, spread over 500 acres, is one of India’s most advanced integrated defense manufacturing hubs. This industry is equipped with 4.0 automation systems and all types of ammunition of small, medium and large caliber are produced here. This plant provides special focus on safety, accuracy and quality.
It was told by the company that this award underlines its role in increasing India’s defense production capacity. Along with this, it is in line with the government’s ‘Make in India, Made for the World’ initiative. This honor was given by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, while Defense Secretary Rajesh Kumar Singh was also present on the occasion.
Steps towards self-reliant India
On this occasion, Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO, Adani Defense and Aerospace, said that the SIDM Champion Award is a testament to our commitment that we are creating an indigenous, technology-based defense manufacturing ecosystem, which strengthens the country’s self-reliance and strategic capability. He also said that the Kanpur Ammunition Complex is an example of how India can be transformed into a global defense manufacturing hub through Industry 4.0 technology and innovation.
This plant of Adani Defense is part of the government’s strategy to promote domestic defense production under the Self-reliant India initiative. The company said it will continue to invest in advanced technology, modern infrastructure and strategic partnerships to further strengthen India’s defense manufacturing capability.
