Developers say that this demand has been made for a long time. Now they hope to get policy support from the budget, so that the sector can get stability and strength.

Role of real estate in GDP and employment

According to a report published in Moneycontrol, Pradeep Agarwal, Founder and Chairman of Signature Global (India) Limited, says that the real estate sector is currently contributing about 7 percent to the country’s GDP. This provides employment in more than 200 related sectors.

With the support of right policies from the government, its contribution can reach 15 percent in GDP by the year 2047.

He believes that by getting the status of industry, cheap loans and long term capital will be available. Which will help in the way builders work.
