Robot AI Delivery: With the rapid expansion of Artificial Intelligence (AI), a big technological experiment has started in the delivery sector in India. The world’s first public automated physical AI delivery network is being operated commercially in Gurugram, adjacent to the national capital Delhi, where goods are being delivered directly to customers’ homes through drones and robots without any human intervention.
delivery by robot
Under this system, drones called ‘Sky Ship’ fly from the Sky Port and deliver the packages to the designated place. The drones drop the packages at a secure smart box, called an ‘arrival point’. After this, automated robots i.e. Autobots deliver the goods to the customer’s doorstep. The entire process is controlled by AI systems, making delivery faster, accurate and more secure.
Sky Air Mobility and Arrive AI have a major role in this initiative. According to Ankit Kumar, his local delivery port ‘Sky Port’ has been linked to the AI system, making the operations completely automated.
Demonstration at AI Summit
Dan O’Toole says that the ‘Arrival Point’ works like a bridge between air and ground and ensures that the exchange of goods between the drone and the robot happens smoothly. Currently four modern AI Sky Ports are active in Sector 102 of Gurugram. According to Autonomy CEO Ritukar Vijay, these Autobots can run easily.
This technology was also demonstrated in the recently organized ‘AI Impact Summit 2026’. Experts believe that if this model is successful, then robot and drone based delivery may become common in other cities of the country in the coming time.
Robots that work like humans
A few days ago, Elon Musk, one of the richest people in the world, showed a glimpse of future technology by sharing a video on social media. His company Tesla is working on developing such humanoid robots that can do many everyday tasks like humans.
In this direction, the company’s Optimus Gen 2 bipedal robot has emerged. Which can easily do tasks like folding clothes and serving food. In the era of changing technology, it cannot be denied that someday robots will be seen in common places and will replace humans in small daily tasks.
