Prices of these things will increase from today

The government has decided to impose high GST at the rate of 40 percent on Sin Goods under GST reforms. Under Sin Goods, such products or services come, causing damage to human health such as cigarettes, gutkha, tobacco, paan masala, sugar added carbonated drinks. Apart from this, there are some things that cause financial harm, such as money gaming, gambling. Now 40 percent GST will be imposed on the use of all these. At the same time, luxury items like big cars, private jets, helicopters, yacht have also been given no relief under GST 2.0. Not only this, petrol car (engine capacity more than 1200cc), diesel car (engine capacity 1500cc) and bikes (more than engine capacity 350cc) are also included in the high tax category.

After the GST 2.0 is implemented from today, you need to be more careful while shopping. Especially, while buying packaged items. Both old and modified MRPs can appear on products made before 22 September. However, some shopkeepers can still charge old price, so check more and buy the bills and check the bill. You will be able to enter the GST complaints, under the new system, the National Consumer Helpline (https://consumerhelpline.gov.in) on the portal of Integrated Grievance Redressal Mechanism.
