H-1b visa fee hike: US President Donald Trump has once again taken such a step which has created a stir in the international world. Also, Indians living in America are also going to have a direct impact. In fact, President Trump signed an announcement on Friday under which the H1B visa fee will be increased to US $ 100,000 annually. With Trump’s move, Indian items will be in focus in the coming days in Indian IT Capnies such as Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), Infosys, Wipro, HCL Tech and other firm. Trump has increased the H1B visa fee from $ 1000 to $ 1,00,000.

Shocking step

White House Staff Secretary Wil Sharf said that H1B non-resident visa program is one of the ‘most misused visa’ systems in the current immigration system of the country. He said that this is allowed to allow high skield professionals to come to America who work in areas where American does not work.

The Trump administration said that a fee of $ 100,000 has been levied to ensure that the people being brought to the country are “really highly skilled” and do not replace American workers. The move aims to protect American workers and to ensure that the way is cleared for companies to appoint ‘really extraordinary people’ and bring them to America.

What will be the effect on Indians?

Trump signed the manifesto at the Oval Office in the presence of Commerce Minister Howard Lutnik, saying, “We need workers, we need the best workers and this will ensure that it is so.”

Lutnik said that under the employment based green card program, 281,000 people get admission per year and they earn US $ 66,000 per year. In addition, the possibility of their involvement in government aid programs is five times more. He said, “So we were recruiting the lower IV Quartile Class, below the average American. It was irrational, the only country in the world that was recruiting the lower fourth class.

Lutnik said, “We are going to stop doing so. We will take only extraordinary people at the top, not those who are trying to snatch jobs from Americans. They will start business and create jobs for Americans. And under this program, more than US $ 100 billion will be raised for the US treasury. ”

Trump said that the country will use this amount to cut taxes and repay the debt. He said, “We think it will be very successful.” Lutynik said that a fee of US $ 100,000 will be charged annually. This step will have a profound impact on the Indian employees whom IT sector company and other companies appoint on H1B visas. These visas are valid for 3 years and can be renewed for the next three years.
