According to the data, so far in the month of February, foreign investors have invested about Rs 20 thousand crores. In the last few months, foreign investors had made huge sales in the market. With this changing trend, the confidence of domestic investors in the Indian market can also increase further. Let us know about this…

Foreign investors returned after continuous selling

After a long period of selling, the attitude of foreign investors seems to be changing. After the trade agreement between America and India, foreign portfolio investors have invested Rs 19,675 crore in the Indian stock market in the first two weeks of February. According to the depository data, till February 13, this amount has been put in the market by foreign investors. Which is considered an important change after the continuous withdrawals of the last three months.

Talking about the selling figures, FPI had withdrawn Rs 35,962 crore in January, Rs 22,611 crore in December and Rs 3,765 crore in November. In the year 2025, foreign investors had withdrawn a net amount of Rs 1.66 lakh crore from the Indian market. In such a situation, foreign investment in February can increase the enthusiasm of the market.

What do experts say?

According to Himanshu Srivastava, Management Head-Research, Morningstar Investment Research India, the softening of the environment of concern at the international level is a major reason behind the recent foreign buying. Especially the soft inflation data of America has strengthened the confidence of investors. Due to which they are showing willingness to take risks in emerging markets like India.

Wakarjaved Khan, senior fundamental expert at Angel One, also believed that factors like the US-India trade agreement, the positive impact of the General Budget of 2026-27 and reduction in global uncertainties have strengthened the confidence of foreign investors. Due to which this change is being seen.
