Imagine if you get the benefit of credit while making payments through UPI – how easy and smart the experience will become. Turning this idea into reality, Google Pay has launched a co-branded credit card with Axis Bank, which will be directly linked to the user’s UPI account.

No more separate cards or payment modes—just scan the QR code and pay with your credit card. You will get cashback or rewards on every transaction, which can be immediately used in the next payment. This innovation has been made possible by NPCI’s RuPay UPI model, where a combination of the simplicity of UPI and the spending limit of credit card is available.

Apart from this, EMI option of 6 and 9 months will also be available. This step can give a new direction to credit access and financial inclusion in digital payments.
