Britain has now decided to further harden its immigration rules for refugees. According to the new government proposal, now those migrants will not get the right to settle in the country permanently and bring family. This step has been taken by the current Labor Government under the pressure of its Coalition Partner Popular Reform UK Party, which is known to take a tough stand against illegal stay. By now the migrants who received the refugee status were deserved to Permanent Residence after 5 years. But this process has been made difficult in the new rules. Now to get a permanent residence, the migrant will not only have to stay for a long time, but it will also be necessary to make special contribution to the country. In addition, the eligibility period for the permanent residence has been extended from 5 years to 10 years. Also, the applicant will have to fulfill many new parameters like English Proficiency, Clear Criminal Record, Social Security Contribution and Community Involvement.
