US-China Trade War: US President Donald Trump has once again targeted China and announced 100 percent tariff on all Chinese imports from November 1. Along with this, he has also announced to control the export of all essential software made or being made in America. This move by Trump is expected to increase trade tensions between the world’s two largest economies.

Why was Trump angry at China?

Trump said on Friday (October 10), it has just been learned that China has decided to impose export control on almost every product being manufactured here. Some such things will also be included in these, which have not been made in China. Surprised by this decision of China, Trump also hit back and imposed 100 percent tariff on all Chinese products from November 1. Trump said that China’s aggressive stance affects all countries around the world without exception.

Apparently China had already planned this. Along with this, Trump also said that now America will also implement export control on some very important software to protect its technological interests. Due to this, the sale of Artificial Intelligence (AI), data security, military technology or industrial software to China will be limited in the coming time. This order of Trump has come at a time when trade talks between the two countries were flagged off last month.

Trump made this allegation on China

Before imposing 100 percent tariff on China, Trump scolded China through a post on his Truth Social. He has accused China of taking very bad and hostile steps. Also warned that they can retaliate by imposing heavy tariffs on Chinese goods imported into America.

Trump said, “Some very strange events are happening in China.” China is adopting a very hostile attitude by sending letters to countries around the world. These letters also include the issue of imposing controls on the export of items used in global manufacturing. Trump wrote, “No one has ever seen anything like this before. Such a step will create disruptions in the markets and make life difficult for almost every country in the world, especially China.”

Trump angry with this attitude of China

China recently said that apart from the seven rare earth elements mentioned in April this year, it is going to increase its export control on five more rare-earth metals. Five more rare earth elements like holmium, erbium, thulium, europium and ytterbium have now been included in the export control list. The seven minerals on which export control was imposed earlier included Samarium, Gadolinium, Terbium, Dysprosium, Lutetium, Scandium and Yttrium.

Apart from this, on Thursday China also banned the export of machines used in refining rare earth elements. Most of these restrictions will come into effect from December 1.
