China has started looking for opportunities in this disaster. China has announced to start a new new ‘K Visa’ category with the aim of attracting science and technology professionals, engineers.
Why K Visa is different?
According to the NDTV report, China’s new ‘K visa’ will be more flexible than the visas of 12 second categories here. That is, it has been relaxed in entry and exit, validity period and living deadline. R and Z visas are currently used to work in China, but their validity is for limited time. Where Zee Visa is allowed to stay in China for one year. At the same time, with the help of R Visa, only 180 days will be able to stay in connection with work in China. Whereas, this will not happen with K visa because it can allow foreigners to stop in China for a long time.
Overall, China is calling foreign talent in its country through this visa. The visa was announced after the Chinese Prime Minister Lee Kiang signed an order, in which the rules related to entry and exit for foreigners have been amended. China’s new ‘K visa’ will be applicable from 1 October 2025. Under this, ‘K Visa’ holders will be allowed to participate in education, culture, science and technology as well as entrepreneurship and business activities in China.
Easy to apply for this
To get ‘K Visa’, applicants will have to fulfill the conditions prescribed by the Chinese officials and submit the necessary documents. Contrary to the second visa categories, it will be easy to apply for it and get it. Apart from this, K Visa will not require any local company or employer, but will be released on the basis of the qualification and experience of the applicant.
According to South China Morning Post, ‘K Visa’ is for young professionals, research or research people associated with ‘K Visa’ Stem (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics). The Chinese government had approved the decision to issue ‘K Visa’ in the month of August and now more details related to it will be issued by the Chinese Embassy.
