Karan Adani praised the investment climate in Telangana, citing the rapidly growing presence of Adani Group in the state.

At the Telangana Rising Global Summit 2025, Karan Adani, CEO, Adani Ports & SEZ Limited, gave detailed information on the growing activities of the Adani Group in Telangana, ongoing projects and the impact of the state government policies. The event organized in Hyderabad was attended by state Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and many industry leaders and stalwarts.

Karan Adani started his address by praising the working system of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. He said that Telangana today is one of those states where administrative decisions are taken with utmost speed and transparency. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy ji, the state is working with a clear vision and purpose, which is rarely seen in Indian politics. According to him, this is the reason why the industry feels confident about long-term investment in Telangana.

Praise for better governance model for industries

Karan Adani said that the Telangana government has created a business environment which is very favorable for big industries by emphasizing on fast clearance system, clear rules and long-term economic planning. He said that transparency, quick decision-making and long-term economic planning – these three things give maximum strength to those industries which want to invest on a large scale. He also said that the state’s stability and clear policy framework gives businesses the opportunity to move forward with bigger goals.

In his address, he especially drew attention to the Defense and Aerospace Center of Adani Group based in Hyderabad. This is India’s first long-endurance UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) manufacturing centre. From here, state-of-the-art drones are manufactured for the Indian Armed Forces, and are also supplied to many international customers. He informed that – This facility has been established in accordance with the National Self-Reliance Mission (Atmanirbhar Bharat). More than 1,500 people are directly employed here, and a large number of indirect jobs are being generated in the supply chain. This center makes India’s defense manufacturing capability globally competitive.

A giant leap in digital infrastructure—green data centers

Karan Adani also described the Rs 2,500 crore green data center being developed by the group in Telangana as a major project. This will be a high-performance data center with 48 MW capacity. State-of-the-art infrastructure is being created for AI, cloud services and heavy digital workloads. This center will strengthen the country’s digital security, data capacity and technical preparedness.

Karan Adani said that the group has also emphasized on strengthening the road and logistics network of Telangana in the last few years. More than 100 kilometers of road network has been constructed in various districts—Mancherial, Suryapet, Kodad and Khammam—with an investment of approximately Rs 4,000 crore. According to him, the movement of goods through these road corridors has increased. Transportation costs have decreased. Business and industries are getting direct benefits.

Expansion in cement production capacity

In view of the boom in construction activities in Telangana, Adani Cement has also increased its capacity in the state. Units have been established in Ganeshpahar, Tandur and Devapur. Total production capacity is 7 MTPA. An investment of more than Rs 2,000 crore has been made. These plants are continuously providing support to the infrastructure development of the state as per the need.

Adani Group has invested around Rs 10,000 crore in Telangana in the last three years. More than 7,000 direct and indirect jobs have been created. These investments include diverse sectors like defence, digital infrastructure, logistics, road development, and cement manufacturing. At the end of the speech, Karan Adani thanked the state government for its continuous support. He said that Adani Group is ready to pursue more projects in Telangana. However, his entire speech mainly focused on the expansion of ongoing projects and he did not make any new major announcements.
