Middle East Tensions Impact on Global Economy: It has been four weeks since the ongoing tension in the Middle East, but the situation is continuously worsening. Iran has already rejected US President Donald Trump’s 15-point peace proposal, indicating that tensions may increase further in the coming days. Meanwhile, the closure of the Strait of Hormuz has deepened the global energy crisis and created a situation like energy emergency in many countries. In such a situation, energy experts are giving serious warnings about the future.
Situation may worsen
Energy economist Anas Alhajji has sounded the alarm bell for the global economy, saying that if this war related to Iran does not end soon, then the economy of the entire world can have a huge impact. He said on social media that if this conflict continues for a long time, its serious consequences will start appearing within a few weeks.
Linking the current situation to the Strait of Hormuz, he said that about 20 percent of the world’s oil supply passes through this narrow route. In such a situation, any kind of disruption here can give a big blow to the global trade and energy market. Its effect is visible far away from the Middle East to Europe.
If this war doesn’t end soon, the global economy would collapse by early May. https://t.co/MV8z99nN6j

Oil will go out of control in Asian market
According to Anas Alhaji, the energy crisis in Europe is rapidly deepening and prices are continuously increasing, due to which dependence on Russian energy sources may increase again. He warned that the efforts that Europe has been making for many years to reduce its dependence on Russian oil may weaken in this crisis.
Regarding Asian markets, he said that crude oil prices have already reached around $120 per barrel. If tensions continue like this, crude oil prices may increase further, which will further increase pressure on the global economy.
