The recruitment is for 367 Junior Administrative Assistant posts, distributed district-wise and category-wise as follows:

Selection Process
The recruitment process consists of three stages:
Stage 1: Written Examination (120 Marks)
- Duration: 2 hours
- Format: OMR-based, multiple choice questions
- Sections:
- General English: 50 marks
- General Knowledge & Computer Knowledge: 30 marks
- General Aptitude: 20 marks
- Assamese Language: 20 marks (Qualifying only – need at least 8 marks)
Stage 2: Computer Skill Test (35 Marks)

- MS Word & Excel Proficiency: 15 marks
A number of candidates, up to five times the total district-wise vacancies, will be shortlisted from the written test to appear for the Computer Skill Test.
Stage 3: Viva-Voce (15 Marks)
Candidates equal to three times the number of vacancies per district will be shortlisted for the interview based on combined written and skill test scores.
Final merit will be based on total marks out of 150 (Written: 100 + Skill: 35 + Viva: 15).
Tie-Breaker Criteria
If multiple candidates achieve the same total score:
- Candidate with higher combined score in Written + Computer Skill Test will be ranked higher.
- If still tied, older age will be given preference.
