Padma Award 2026 announced, 131 people got the honour, know who got the award from the business world

Padma Awards 2026: Before Republic Day, the Central Government has released the list of Padma Awards for the year 2026. This time, 131 people from across the country have been selected for these awards for their excellent contribution in different fields. This includes 5 Padma Vibhushan, 13 Padma Bhushan and 113 Padma Shri.

Like every year, through these honours, people who do special work in the society are recognized. This time this honor has been given to people associated with different fields like art, literature, sports, science, education, medicine, social service, industry, business, agriculture and administration. Let us know which famous people related to business have received this honour.

Padma Awards 2026: Prominent industrialists honored

This time, many prominent industrialists and entrepreneurs have been honored with the Padma Awards 2026 for their outstanding contributions. Uday Kotak, who has played an important role in the banking sector for a long time, has been awarded Padma Bhushan.

Whereas Solar Industries India Chairman Satyanarayan Nuwal has received the Padma Shri award for promoting indigenous ammunition in the defense sector. Apart from this, TT Jagannathan, known as ‘Pressure Cooker King’ and head of TTK Group, has been awarded Padma Shri posthumously.

In this sequence, Dalit entrepreneur Ashok Khade has been honored with Padma Shri for creating his own identity in the corporate world. Textile businessman and founder of ‘Donate Life’ organization Nilesh Mandlewala has also received the Padma Shri award. All these honors are given by the Government of India for the important contribution made to the country’s economy and society.

These celebrities got respect

This time, former Chief Minister of Kerala V.S. has been nominated for the Padma Vibhushan award. Achuthanandan, veteran actor Dharmendra and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha founder Shibu Soren have been elected posthumously. This is considered the second highest civilian honor in the country.

Playback singer Alka Yagnik, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Bhagat Singh Koshyari, famous South Indian cinema actor Mammootty and well-known banker Uday Kotak have been honored with the Padma Bhushan Award. All of them have been given this honor for their significant contribution in their respective fields over a long period of time.
