World Second Richest Person Larry Ellison: Oracle’s founder Larry Alison is the second richest man in the world. In terms of wealth, only Tesla’s CEO Alan Musk is above him. According to the Bloomberg Billioniers report, Larry Alison has a total assets of $ 373 billion. His wealth has increased rapidly in the last few days, the biggest reason for which is a tremendous jump in AI Boom and Oralak shares.

But very few people know that Larry Alison has planned to donate 95 percent of his total assets. However, he has clearly stated that this donation will be on his own terms and conditions.

95% property donation plan

According to a Fortune report, by September 2025, Alison has a net worth of $ 373 billion. The biggest stake in this comes from his 41 percent stake in Oracle. Apart from this, he also has a big investment in Tesla. Alison performs his philanthropic works through Ellison Institute of Technology (EIT), a for-Profit Organization at Oxford University. The institute works on global challenges like Health Services, Food Safety, Climate Change and AI Research.

A new campus of EIT will be opened in Oxford in 2027. Alison has been giving big donations for a long time. He donated the University of South California to create a $ 200 million Cancer Research Center. Along with this, he gave $ 1 billion to the Alison Medical Foundation, which worked towards the prevention of diseases of the elderly before closing.

Donation of assets on its own terms

However, in the case of donating his property, Ellison always follows on his own terms. The New York Times report states that the EIT faced many challenges due to the change of leadership. In 2024, Alison appointed John Bell to lead a research lead, but in just two weeks he resigned and described the project as very challenging.
