Iran ISrael Conflict Impact on Egg PRice: The impact of increasing tension between Iran and Israel in West Asia is now visible on India’s food business as well. In recent times, there has been a sharp decline in the prices of eggs in the country. The reason behind this is said to be that the export of eggs to Gulf countries has been affected.

In fact, due to the ongoing conflict in the region, both the demand and supply chains there have been affected. Whose direct impact is visible on India’s poultry market and egg prices. Let us know how this fight spoiled the egg fund…

Egg prices softened

A decline in the prices of eggs has been seen in many markets of the country in recent times. According to the report, the price of eggs in the wholesale market of Bengaluru was earlier around Rs 7 per piece, which has come down to around Rs 5. A tray containing 100 eggs is being sold for around Rs 500.

A decline in prices is also being seen in the retail market. Whereas earlier the price of an egg was Rs 8 to Rs 9, now its price has reached around Rs 5.50 to Rs 6.

Pressure on prices due to export impact

Talking about export figures, about 1 crore eggs were sent from the country to Gulf countries every day. The main buyers of these eggs have been countries like United Arab Emirates (UAE), Oman, Qatar and Bahrain.

But due to recent security concerns and problems in transportation, exports to these countries have been affected to a great extent. As a result, the eggs which were to be sent abroad are now coming to the domestic market. Due to which the supply has increased and there was pressure on prices.

Along with this, changes in eating habits are also seen in Gulf countries during Ramadan. Generally the demand for eggs decreases. Due to low demand and decrease in exports, there has been a decline in the prices of eggs.

Concern of poultry farmers increased due to falling prices

The fall in the prices of eggs is directly impacting the farmers involved in poultry business. Due to stoppage of exports to Gulf countries, pressure on their income has increased. Because the prices available in the domestic market are not able to match the prices available abroad.

Market experts say that until the export and transportation situation with Gulf countries does not become normal, there is little hope of much improvement in the prices of eggs in India.
