Complaint Against Wipro: NITES, an organization of Information Technology (IT) sector employees, on Monday gave a written complaint to Labor Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, accusing Wipro Limited of not hiring more than 250 newly selected employees even after several months. According to NITES, these candidates were selected under the ‘Turbo’ and ‘NextGen Talent Hiring’ programs run by Wipro in various states of the country and were issued letters of intent with information related to the post, salary and joining process in May 2025.

Not called despite selection

In many cases, the company also sent formal onboarding emails mentioning the joining date, workplace and documentation process, but despite completing all the terms and background verification, the candidates were not called for work on time.

The organization says candidates were left with prolonged uncertainty, generic answers and changing explanations, while many were unable to pursue other job opportunities due to campus placement rules and some turned down second job offers.

According to NITES, due to lack of clear response from the company, many candidates remained unemployed for six to eight months, which has increased financial pressure and mental stress on them. The organization has demanded the intervention of the Central Government to seek reply from Wipro and to give written information to all the affected candidates along with the clear date and reason of joining.

Additionally, the organization warned that if action is not taken in this matter, such practices could become common in the IT industry, causing long-term harm to India’s young workforce.
