Spring in IT sector! 13% jump in Infosys’ profit, dividend of Rs 23 to shareholders

Infosys Q2 results 2025: A tremendous rally was seen in the Indian stock market on Thursday, 16 October. At the end of the trading session, the 30-share BSE Sensex index closed at 83,467 with a jump of 862 points. Whereas NSE Nifty 50 closed at 25,585, trading on the green mark with a gain of 261 points. Besides, growth was also seen in the IT sector.

Along with this, the country’s leading IT company Infosys has announced the results of the second quarter of the financial year 2025-26. In the second quarter, the company’s profit saw a jump of 13 percent and it reached the figure of Rs 7,364 crore. The company has distributed the joy of profit among its shareholders and has gifted an interim dividend of Rs 23 to the shareholders.

Company’s revenue increased

Infosys has informed that the company’s operating revenue for the second quarter has also increased. Revenue has increased by 8.6 percent and has reached the figure of Rs 44,490 crore. Last year, the company’s operation revenue in the corresponding quarter was Rs 40,986 crore.

Also, the company has increased the previous estimate of growth for the current financial year 26 from its lower level to 2-3 percent. The company has also increased the number of employees. Due to which new employment opportunities can open. Which shows that the company is expected to make profit in the financial year.

The company gave a gift to the shareholders

The Board of Directors of Infosys has decided to give an interim dividend of Rs 23 on every share to its shareholders. There is an atmosphere of happiness among the investors of the company due to this decision. The company has fixed the record date for dividend as 27 October 2025 and the payment date has been fixed as 7 November 2025.
