Diwali 2025 shopping trends: Indians made huge purchases on the occasion of Diwali this year. According to a recent survey report by Paisabazaar, more than 42 percent of credit card users made purchases worth more than Rs 50,000 during the festive season. At the same time, the number of people making purchases between Rs 50 thousand and Rs 1 lakh was 22 percent.
20 percent users have made purchases of more than Rs 1 lakh using credit cards. Latest data shows that people are doing expensive shopping using credit cards. While shopping, 91 percent of these people planned their shopping according to credit card offers and cashback.
What things were purchased the most?
On the occasion of Diwali, credit card users have made maximum purchases of home appliances, mobiles, clothes, gadgets and accessories, furniture and decor. If we talk about their figures, maximum 25 percent was spent on home appliances.
After this comes the number of mobiles, gadgets and accessories. People purchased about 23 percent of these things. There was a lot of sale of clothes on the occasion of Diwali. People purchased about 22 percent clothes.
card offer was used extensively
This survey was conducted on more than 2,300 consumers. The survey revealed that 91 percent people made their plans according to the card offer while shopping. Which shows that the purchasing decisions of customers are changing. People are now planning their shopping according to different card offers.
People are showing more trust in e-commerce platforms
The survey revealed that 83 percent people got the best deals on e-commerce platforms like Amazon and Flipkart. Whereas only 7 percent people believed that they got more benefit by shopping from shops. Apart from this, people also purchased from other e-commerce platforms.
